Event_2

From 15th to 20th July, Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Sector IV (School ID–1923019), hosted a thoughtful and engaging series of group counseling sessions in collaboration with Asha Counselor. The initiative focused on guiding students from Classes 3 to 10 through essential life skills, emotional awareness, and healthy decision-making. Each session was tailored to the developmental stage of the students, ensuring that learning felt relevant, understandable, and supportive.

The week began with Good Touch and Bad Touch sessions for Classes 3rd, 4th, and 5th, conducted by counselor Beenaa Nidar. With sensitivity and clarity, young children were taught about body boundaries, safety, and how to identify and report uncomfortable situations. The session helped children feel more informed and confident about their personal safety- an important foundation at their age.

For the 6th and 7th classes, counselor Aasha Gupta led impactful sessions on Gender Sensitization. Students explored respect, equality, and the importance of understanding each other’s emotions and boundaries. These discussions encouraged young adolescents to challenge stereotypes and build healthier social behaviour within their peer groups.

Class 8th participated in Drug Addiction Awareness sessions facilitated by Neelam Ma’am. Students learned about the harmful effects of substance use, peer pressure, and mental health consequences. The conversation highlighted early prevention, empowering students to make informed and responsible choices as they grow older.

Class 9th engaged in sessions on Social Media and Scrolling Reels, also conducted by Aasha Gupta. The session focused on digital well-being, the addictive nature of reels, online comparison, and its impact on concentration and mental health. Students were encouraged to set boundaries, create healthier online habits, and understand how social media shapes their emotions and productivity.

The counseling week concluded with Healthy Study Habits and Career Counseling for Class 10th, once again led by Aasha Gupta. Students preparing for board examinations received structured guidance on time management, effective revision, future planning, and academic discipline. The session helped them feel more focused, assured, and future-ready.

Throughout the week, Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya created a warm, welcoming environment where students felt free to ask questions and express their concerns. The school’s active involvement and support ensured that the sessions were meaningful and deeply appreciated by the students.

At the end of the program, the school presented an official appreciation letter to Asha Counselor, acknowledging the valuable contribution, professionalism, and positive impact these sessions brought to the learning community. This gesture reflected the school’s commitment to the emotional and psychological well-being of its students.
