Childhood and Teenage Counselling in Delhi: Periods awareness

It is sad to see even in 2026, students are educated about menstruation and problems associated with it. The family environment is not supportive to let them accept in public. Most males, especially children, do not even know about it because it is prohibited to talk about it.

As per recent news, in a village a man (19 years old) killed his sister (12 years old) beating to death because he thought that her menstrual blood was a sign of sexual intimacy. He had no knowledge that menstruation cycles exist in India. This is a real case of late 2025.

Since it is a taboo, no one talks about it and the problems associated with it are largely neglected. The support girls need in accepting this and dealing with it, is missing from the infrastructure and family structure too. They are in pain but suppose to express it.

Childhood and teenage counselling period awareness

Well Hope organised a series of comprehensive group counselling sessions to aware and empower students on these issues and encourage them to openly discuss the problems they face. It can be pain, discrimination, restrictions, not getting appropriate support, discomfort with body changes. The childhood and teenage counselling in Delhi was organised at SKV no. 1, Zeenat Mahal, Kamla Market, New Delhi.

Breaking the silence on menstrual health

The tragic incident from late 2025 serves as a harrowing reminder that ignorance is not just a social gap, it is a life-threatening crisis. By implementing child and teenage counselling in Delhi, Well Hope addresses the lethal consequences of biological illiteracy. At SKV No. 1, Zeenat Mahal, the sessions focused on dismantling the "shame" associated with a natural physiological process. Through child and teenage counselling in Delhi, we provide young girls with the medical facts and emotional support they are often denied at home. We teach them that their bodies are not "impure" and that the pain they experience deserves recognition and medical care rather than forced silence.

Gender inclusivity

The scope of child and teenage counselling in Delhi must extend to young boys to foster a culture of empathy and protection. When boys are excluded from these conversations, myths and hostilities take root. Our initiative ensures that child and teenage counselling in Delhi includes gender-inclusive education, where menstruation is normalized as a sign of health rather than a taboo. By providing a safe, clinical, yet compassionate space for these discussions, we bridge the gap between ancient stigmas and modern science. The expansion of child and teenage counselling in Delhi is the only way to ensure that no more lives are lost to preventable ignorance, ultimately creating a society where every child feels safe within their own body and respected by their peers.
